Indie rock band MRYGLD (pronounced ‘marigold’), from here in Birmingham, is “All The Rage.” The band was formed this year by Shane Jewell (lead guitar) and Brandon Snipes (vocals, guitar) and . They have two lead singers in Brandon Snipes and Shane’s wife, Alyssa Jewell who also plays keys. The Jewells were introduced to Snipes in 2015, and immediately bonded over similar tastes in music. They continued playing in their own bands, but ultimately formed MRYGLD a year later when Will Johnston on drums and James McCauley on bass completed the band.

All Them Witches delivers perhaps their best effort yet on their latest, Sleeping Through the War, dropping this Friday. This is the psych-rock band’s fourth feature studio release and second under New West Records. Long Bony Arms is the latest project from Bham singer/songwriter Nathan Peek. Nathan is no stranger to the Birmingham music scene, previously as a part of The Nathan Peek Band and Kids Your Age. LBA consists of members from each: guitarist Hank Jones, bassist Casey Patton, and drummer Jason Vickers. LBA’s music highlights the band’s easily recognizable personality crisis; playing everything from garage rock to power pop to country, and portraying each with as much energy and vigor as an audience can stomach in one night.
