Kate Tucker & The Sons of Sweden. Seattle-born, Nashville-based Sons of Sweden play lush, layered indie rock with sparkling melodies and shimmering soundscapes. On their new album, The Shape the Color The Feel, echoes of Cocteau Twins, Metric, and early U2 can be heard in songs that explore the darker moods and brighter vistas of Spoon, Interpol, and Phantogram. The high intensity single “Blue Hotel” is fast becoming a favorite in both college and commercial radio.
Sons of Sweden are known for their sweeping cinematic arrangements, with music featured on major network shows like CSI Miami, United States of Tara, and Pretty Little Liars. Their songs have topped the blog charts and appeared on more than a few compilations, including Starbucks “Have You Heard” and “Sweetheart.”
Last year, the band raised over $21,000 via Kickstarter to make their collaborative visual album The Shape The Color The Feel.
