Michael Cameron Anderson, known professionally as Anderson East, was born in Athens, Alabama. Currently, he is based in Nashville, writing and singing his take on Country music — a rhythmic blues with a rock-and-roll edge. Talking with Michael was something like sitting down with an old friend. Read on to see what all he had to share. (Sara Jane) You just got off stage a moment ago. How was it?

(Anderson East) It was great. It was really, really hot. But it was fun.

That’s definitely been the statement of the day — how hot it is.

Yeah, I’ve lost some weight, which I’ve needed to. Sweated out all my indiscretions.

(Laughing) I’m sure Miranda will appreciate that.

Anderson East

Anderson East is an American rhythm and blues/pop musician from Athens, Alabama, now based in Nashville. His song “Satisfy Me” was released in March 2015 and received consistent radio airplay. His major label record debut, Delilah, was released on the Low Country Sound imprint via Elektra in July 2015, produced by Dave Cobb (Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, Southeastern).

The Lone Bellow

The Lone Bellow is an American musical group from Brooklyn. The Lone Bellow began as a songwriting project for Zach Williams, whose wife had suffered temporary paralysis following a horseback riding accident. During his wife’s recovery, Williams coped with the experience by writing in a journal. At the urging of his friends, Williams learned how to play the guitar and turned his journal entries into songs. Following his wife’s recovery, the couple moved to New York City in order to pursue their creative endeavors.
