PORTUGAL. THE MAN TO PLAY NOISE FOR NOW BENEFIT AT BJCC CONCERT HALL SEPTEMBER 13 th

Portugal. The Man will be playing a benefit concert organized by NOISE FOR NOW. NOISE FOR NOW is a national initiative that enables performers to connect with, and financially support, grassroots organizations that are dedicated to empowering women
and protecting women’s health and abortion rights. All proceeds from this benefit will go directly to Planned Parenthood Southeast and the Dr. Willie Parker Fund. The band states, “As we tour the world we get to see a lot of different places and with that comes many different attitudes, and it is clear that women’s equality has a long way
to go. We love the way NOISE FOR NOW takes a grassroots approach to making a difference in local communities. We hope we get a lot of people out to the show to help raise money and awareness for equality.”

Planned Parenthood Southeast believes in the fundamental right of each individual to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual’s income, marital status, race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or residence. Live at the Lyric: Portugal. The Man with special guest Adam Tod Brown

Atlantic recording group Portugal. The Man has announced plans for a headline tour, a limited run stopping at intimate venues across North America this fall- including Birmingham’s own Lyric Theatre.

Formed in New Orleans, this crew has a sweet rock n’ roll sound with a NOLA-funk soul. This seven-piece brings all the feels to the stage, from their hit song “SoulFight” to their newly released “Wish I Knew You,” as seen on the Today Show.  They were listed by Rolling Stone as one of the “Top Ten Bands You Need to Know.” The Revivalists will perform on the BMI Stage on Friday, May 20 at 6:15pm
