Heath Green & The Makeshifters, fresh off tour supporting St. Paul & The Broken Bones, release their debut album, S/T, this Friday, March 3, on Alive Natural Sound Records. Heath Green & The Makeshifters are a group of “incredible deep-feel musicians” from Birmingham, AL. The band recently performed their song, “Ain’t Got God,” recorded live from Lucia Pantation in Birminhgam, AL for Spectra Sonic Sound Sessions and can be seen below. Heath Green’s raucous and soulful vocals supported by The Makeshifter’s heavy sound can be compared to that of JJ Grey, Eddie Hinton, Leon Russell or Joe Cocker.
Heath Green & The Makeshifters will be performing two shows to celebrate the album’s release on Friday, March 3. Their first appearance will be a live in-store and signing at Seasick Records beginnning at 6PM, followed by their record release party at The Syndicate Lounge. Joining Heath Green & The Makeshifters at The Syndicate are the “gritty-rock and shimmering-pop” band, Rock Eupora, out of Nashville, TN; The Voice finalist, Jordy Searcy; and another one of Birmingham’s bands on the verge, The Brook & The Bluff. Doors open at 7PM and tickets are available for purchase for $5 via the event’s Facebook page or through Ticketfly. The show is produced by MusicBham and The Syndicate Lounge.
